Cult of the Lamb on New Gameplay Today
Cult of the Lamb first appeared at Gamescom last year and immediately caught our eye with its distinctive visual style, excellent score, and combination of brisk action roguelike play and Animal Crossing-inspired base-building systems. Game Informer editors Alex Stadnik and Wesley LeBlanc recently went hands-on with Cult of the Lamb, experiencing the opening 20 minutes of the game.
In this edition of New Gameplay Today, Alex and Wesley break down everything they encountered during those first 20 minutes. They cover how the game plays, whether its contrasting base-building and roguelike action mechanics work effectively together, as well as its music, art direction, and more.
Massive Monster discusses Cult of the Lamb
This New Gameplay Today episode is particularly special, as Massive Monster creative director Julian Wilton joins them to talk about the development of the game and answer every question they put to him.
If you are looking forward to Cult of the Lamb, this New Gameplay Today should keep you going until its release later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
