For anyone seeking an affordable, capable mini PC, the MLLSE M2 Plus, currently discounted on AliExpress, is a very appealing option.

This promotion is part of the “Landmark Days” event, which ends this Saturday evening, 28 March. In other words, there is little time left to take advantage of it.

Using the FRBD12 code, the MLLSE M2 Plus mini PC drops to €110 rather than €199. That is an immediate saving of €89 (-45%). This machine does not claim to run demanding games with exemplary smoothness, as that is not what it was built for.

For everyday jobs such as office work, streaming and emails, however, it is more than adequate. AliExpress delivers it free of charge within just a few days from a warehouse in France, with VAT included.

Should it fail to meet your expectations, you have an exceptional 90-day period in which to return it for an immediate refund. Finally, if money is a little tight, PayPal’s interest-free payment in four instalments lets you buy it today for €27.50, followed by the same amount across the next three months.

Why choose the MLLSE M2 Plus mini PC, and who is it for?

As mentioned earlier, the MLLSE M2 Plus mini PC is a straightforward entry-level model designed to cover the essentials. It runs Windows 11 Pro and occupies far less room than a conventional desktop tower. More specifically, it features an Intel Celeron 5205U processor clocked at 1.9 GHz, providing responsive performance for day-to-day tasks.

The Celeron 5205U is a 2-core / 2-thread processor manufactured on a 14 nm process and intended for light to moderate workloads. In practical terms, this CPU is well suited to web browsing with around ten tabs open, office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, video calls, and streaming video playback up to 4K. Netflix, YouTube and Disney+ run smoothly thanks to the built-in hardware decoding, which reduces the load on the processor.

It is not intended for more intensive activities, however, such as video editing, modern 3D gaming, demanding design software including Photoshop and Premiere, or code compilation. Another advantage is its stable, low-power operation, with a 15W TDP, making it a dependable long-term processor for intensive yet energy-efficient use.

MLLSE M2 Plus memory, storage and connectivity

The rest of the specification consists of 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB SSD (M.2 2242 SATA). This allows it to boot within seconds and handle multitasking without slowdowns. Considerably faster than a traditional hard drive, the SSD enables near-instant opening of files and software.

For connectivity, the front panel includes two USB Type-A 3.0 ports. At the rear are two HDMI ports (4K @ 60Hz), a 3.5 mm audio jack, one Type-A 2.0 port, one USB Type-A 3.0 port and an RJ45 Ethernet LAN port. There is no USB Type-C, although a multi-port hub can easily address this minor omission. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 are also included.

Although these are not the newest wireless standards, they remain more than sufficient for the uses outlined above. Expecting Wi-Fi 7 or Bluetooth 6.0 from this machine would be like entering a 2CV in a Formula 1 race. Its ultra-compact format also means it can be fitted behind a monitor using a VESA mount or simply placed on a desk.

At this reduced price of €110 instead of €199, this mini PC covers 99% of the requirements of most users. If it suits your needs, now is the best time to get one.
