DIO, a technology education platform, has announced 5,000 free places on the IBM Bob Bootcamp: Enterprise-Level AI for Developers, in partnership with IBM.
The programme is the first joint initiative from the two organisations in Brazil. It is designed to help software professionals already working in the sector integrate agentic AI agents directly into their workflows.
Applications are now open and can be submitted online through the DIO website. The course is aimed at technology professionals, particularly those working to modernise legacy systems and highly complex enterprise ecosystems.
AI across the development lifecycle
The training centres on IBM Bob, IBM’s recently launched AI-first development platform. Built to support the complete development process, the tool automates key stages including planning, code writing, testing and reviews, while also providing governance and security layers.
Within IBM, the technology has already been used by more than 102,000 employees, delivering an average 45% productivity improvement in development tasks.
Throughout the bootcamp, participants will receive access to the tool’s free trial period and work with advanced features including Plan, Agent and Ask modes, as well as Subagents, Bob Shell, MCP and Bobalytics.
The free programme structure
- 6 recorded courses focused on the platform’s features.
- 3 interactive live sessions with industry specialists.
- 1 practical project challenge with a real-world application.
“Development teams are under pressure to deliver more with leaner teams. We chose a topic at the heart of this challenge: AI agents applied throughout the software lifecycle. We expect to prepare thousands of professionals who can operate AI agents with governance and leave with a real project for their portfolios,” says Iglá Generoso, DIO’s founder and CEO.
Practical portfolio and links to the market
To complete the course, students must submit a practical GitHub project documenting architectural decisions, the prompts used, points of human intervention and metrics obtained from Bobalytics. Alongside a stronger portfolio, graduates gain visibility on Talent Match, the platform where DIO’s recruitment partners search for qualified talent.
For Fabrício Lira, IBM Brazil’s AI and Data director, technological progress calls for a strategic approach that extends beyond immediate speed gains:
“AI is transforming how software is developed, but the differentiator for businesses lies in adopting these technologies with security, governance and scalability. With IBM Bob, we aim to support developers at every stage, increasing productivity without compromising quality and human oversight.”
