Tuxedo has unveiled the Gemini 17 laptop, built around the powerful 16-core Ryzen 9 9955HX processor. The company positions it as a direct replacement for a high-performance desktop PC.

As its name suggests, this is a 17-inch laptop. More precisely, the new model has a 17.3-inch 1440p display with a 240 Hz refresh rate.

It also supports up to 128 GB of RAM and includes two SSD slots, allowing the system to be fitted with 8 TB of storage. There is a discrete graphics card, although it is only a GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop. This gives the machine a clear emphasis on CPU rather than GPU performance.

Dimensions, battery and price

This is certainly not a slim or lightweight mobile PC. It measures up to 29 mm thick and weighs 2.8 kg. Other specifications include a 73 Wh battery and 100 W charging.

The entry-level configuration, with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, costs €2,135. The processor and graphics card are fixed across all versions, so there is no choice in that respect.
