Super Mario Bros. Wonder hands-on impressions
After playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder in August, I was hugely impressed by the imagination behind the series’ return to 2D gameplay. I enjoyed the demo so much that handing back the controller at the end of my session was disappointing. Fortunately, for our cover story in the latest issue, I was given substantially more time with Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Exploring Nintendo Direct courses
Although much of that additional playtime involved delving further into levels I had already sampled, I also became the first person to play three courses featured in the Super Mario Bros. Wonder-focused Nintendo Direct in late August.
Spoiler warning for these stages
I played each of these stages several times. To avoid revealing too much, I will leave out certain details, including the location of each stage’s Wonder Flower, but I wanted to share my exclusive hands-on impressions. Be aware, then, that the text and screenshots below contain spoilers for these stages.
